Hi there! I’m so pleased you’ve made it this far, and hopefully you’re interested in having me capture your day. So here's a bit about me.

My name is Emma and I live just outside of Manchester with my husband Gary and our little fluffy family, our two black Cats, Rolo and Ivy, and Misty the Husky. They will be happy to greet you if you'd like to come over for a cuppa and a chat about your wedding, or if you come for a Boudoir Makeover shoot. I've been a photographer of Portraits, Boudoir and Weddings since 2010. I've been lucky to work with some amazing Designers, Hair & Make-Up Artists and Alternative Pin-Up models over the years as well as doing Vintage Makeover photography sessions for all kinds of ladies. I'm absolutely obsessed with the Pin-Up style, and I love to recreate the classic Old Hollywood lighting styles of the Golden Age. I would happily spend all day every day making ladies look like sirens of the silver screen!

I married my wonderful husband in August of 2016, we had our own very unique Retro/Pin-Up/Quentin Tarantino Inspired Wedding, on stage in a Manchester rock venue. Since that day, I dream of working with other couples who also want to break with tradition and do things their way. Unique, Quirky and/or vintage styled weddings are just the BEST weddings! Don't you think?

And so The Pin-Up Bride is born...

Offering Wedding & Boudoir Photography for Wedding Belles & Bridal Bombshells

If there's one thing I found out the hard way when planning our wedding, it was that if you're a little quirky, and you want to do something different to the traditional way of doing things - many wedding vendors just won't understand. If you've themed your wedding or you want a coloured dress or a really unusual cake... it's hard enough getting the family on board. You can get used to seeing that look of confusion staring back at you. But when you get that look from the people you're hoping you can trust to run with your idea and make it incredible.... it's heartbreaking and you can feel very alone in this big white wedding world.

Well let me tell you that I do understand, I appreciate everything you've put into this and I want to see your vision come to life, and I want to make sure it's photographed to perfection once your dream day comes around.  Let me capture all the carefully planned details and special moments of your day whilst you relax and enjoy every second of it, and I will insist that you go enjoy it and don't worry about a thing because it goes by so fast! Let me lend an ear and advise you wherever I can, I've been there and done it myself and I truly do love this stuff, you will never bore me with what seems like the most trivial of colour scheme decisions that you just can't make. And once it's all over you can come back from your honeymoon relaxed and excited to see the photographs that I've poured my heart into........ from the day that you poured your hearts into.

My Style & Approach

I’m not a wallflower but I can definitely disappear into the background for all your documentary style moment capturing, and then I can get right in the thick of all the action too. Sometimes you will forget I’m there, and other times you’ll be thankful I can herd your tipsy groomsmen together for the epic group shot you desperately wanted!

Most of the time I will spend capturing your day in a fly on the wall style, although I’m always on hand to take shots of family and friends together on request.

My favourite part is stealing 20 minutes away from everyone with the two of you for a couples portrait session. You won’t need to worry about a thing and you won’t be looking at the camera, just at each other. We will play some silly games and you’ll be relaxed and laughing in no time. This portrait session can be one of the few opportunities you’ll get to just have a quiet moment together and it helps me capture some really beautiful real moments between you.

I only use natural light, except for during your evening reception and for night time portraits when I like to get a little creative using flash.

Wedding Photography FAQs

Can you hold our date?

I only book a limited number of weddings per year, so to be fair to all my clients I don’t hold a date without a deposit. Once you’ve paid a deposit and filled out a booking form, your date is secured.

How much is your wedding photography deposit?

I take a £200 deposit to secure your wedding date.

Can we meet you before we book?

Absolutely! Let’s grab a coffee and you can tell me everything about your wedding, I can’t wait to hear all about it and meet you both!

When do we pay the final balance?

Your final balance payment is due 30 days before your wedding date.

Can you take formal group shots?

Yes, definitely! I always get formal photos of you with all your bridesmaids and groomsmen but I also know how important it is to get photos of all the family together on an occasion like a wedding. I work to a pre planned list of groups set out by you, and I will have an usher help me organise everyone. I usually say stick to a maximum of 8 groups so we don’t go over 30 minutes. We want to make sure there’s also plenty of time left for your couples portrait session without letting photos take over your day

When do we receive our images?

I aim to get your images back to you within 4-6 weeks, at busier periods it can be between 6-8 weeks.

Are you insured or affiliated to any societies?

Yes, I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance. I am also a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and also a member of Bury Photographic Society

What can I do with my images?

While the photographer always retains copyright of the images,  i.e. you can’t sell them on to a third party and make a profit. Your images are yours, so you can print and share as many as you like for yourselves or family and friends.
